The Duchess of Cornwall marked International Women's Day with Women of the World

The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, attended a video reception with Women of the World to mark the International Women's Day 2021. Camilla is the President of the Women of the World (WOW). WOW is a global movement of festivals celebrating women and girls, and looking at obstacles they face.


The WOW Foundation works with an aim that a gender equal world is desirable, possible and urgently required. Through festivals, events and more, our global movement celebrates women and girls, taking a frank look at the obstacles they face and discussing solutions for change.Women of the World has hosted 65 festivals and events to celebrate women and girls across six continents, reaching more than two million people.

The Duchess became the President of WOW in 2015 but has been involved since it began in the U.K. in 2010. The festival has become known as a space for world-renowned artists and thinkers to convene to raise awareness of issues affecting gender equality.
