The 15 years old, heiress to Spanish Throne, Princess Leonor will soon undertake her first solo engagement. The Princess of Asturias will visit the Cervantes Institute in Madrid on March 24th as part of events for its 30th anniversary.

During the visit, Leonor will present the Institute with the copy of the Spanish Constitution from which she read during her first public speech in 2018 on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of its approval by the Congress of Deputies.

Along with this, she will also hand over the version of ‘Don Quixote’ by Cervantes which she and her sister, Infanta Sofia, read from lasr year in their video message at the start of the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
The books will be part of the Institute's "Letters’ Vault" which contains works celebrating Spanish culture and heritage. Later this year, in October, Princess Leonor will study at the UWC Atlantic College in Wales where she'll be joined by Princess Alexia of Netherlands.
