King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain visited Germany

 

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain visited Germany at the invitation of German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. This was Felipe and Letizia’s first State visit to Germany but their second official visit. They first visited the country in December 2014 for two days just after 5 months of Felipe’s accession to the throne. 

 

 

 

As per tradition, Felipe VI and Letizia were given a military send-off from the Adolfo Airport Suárez Madrid-Barajas. After the national anthem, Felipe reviewed the troops and took the salute.

 

Queen Letizia of Spain wore a Hugo Boss suit with Gold and Roses earrings, Uterque shoes and a Karen Hallam ring for the first outfit of the State Visit to Germany

 King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain landed in Berlin this evening for their three days long State visit to Germany. They landed at the Berlin-Brandenburg Willy Brandt Airport in the evening where they were received by the Spanish Ambassador to Germany, Ricardo Martínez. The first official engagement in Germany was a reception hosted for the representatives of the Spanish Community in Berlin.

Queen Letizia of Spain wore a Hugo Boss Banora blouse with Hugo Boss Tiluna1 Trousers and belt with Isabel Abdo Carrie Suede black pumps, Gold & Roses Shewel Triple Hoops and Karen Hallam ring in Berlin, Germany.

 

The President and First Lady of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Elke Büdenbender, officially welcomed King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain at the Bellevue Palace in Berlin with Military Honours.

 

The welcome ceremony began with a performance by a military band. Then King Felipe and President Steinmeier reviewed the troops. Next both countries’ national anthems were performed. Felipe and Letizia did a small walkabout and met with schoolchildren gathered outside the President’s house.


Queen Letizia wore a cornflower blue Carolina Herrera dress with Bulgari hoops, a Karen Hallam ring and Magrit shoes and a Bag for the welcome ceremony in Germany.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain concluded their day 2 in Germany with a State Banquet hosted by The President and First Lady of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Elke Büdenbender at the Bellevue Palace in Berlin.

Queen Letizia of Spain wore a Stella McCartney Cecilia sleeveless cape gown with diamond and ruby earrings and bracelet with Jimmy Choo Rosie 120 sandals, Magrit golden clutch and Karen Hallam ring at the State banquet hosted by the President and First Lady of German. 

 

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain began Day 3 of the German State visit with separate engagements. While King Felipe held business meetings and visited Parliament, Queen Letizia of Spain joined the First Lady of the country Elke Büdenbenderfor for a visit to the exhibition “Escribir todos sus nombres” from the collection of the Helga de Alvear Museum in the Palais Populaire.

 Then the couple visited Berlin Town Hall and Berlin gate.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain arrived in Frankfurt, Germany after spending two days of State Visit in Berlin. Accompanied by the Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Büdenbender, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the Frankfurt Book Fair 022 where Spain is the guest of honour country this year. The Couple then hosted a reception in Frankfurt.

 

Queen Letizia of Spain wore Hugo Boss Ibanisy SS Pleated Top with Hugo Boss Verinala Skirt teamed up with her Mother in Law #QueenSofia's diamond and Sapphire earrings, Magrit bag and Nina Ricci shoes with a Karen Hallam ring.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain began the last day of the German state visit with a visit to the Frankfurt Book Fair at the Messe Frankfurt Congress Center. After the visit to Book Fair the couple visited Cervantes Institute before heading home.

 

On the last day of the German state visit, Queen Letizia of Spain wore Hugo Boss Sabarbie Cropped Leather Jacket with Hugo Boss Selrita Pencil Skirt and Hugo Boss Banika blouse paired with a Magrit suede-leather trimmed pumps and Mara bag, Gold and Roses Needle earrings and Karen Hallam ring.
