The featured portrait, captured by renowned photographer Millie Pilkington, showcases the royal couple in a serene moment, standing side by side in the lush gardens of Buckingham Palace on a sunny April day.
The greeting inside the card, elegantly inscribed with the words “Wishing you a very happy Christmas and New Year,” carries a message of hope and renewal. The palace shared that the image symbolizes a time of life returning to normality following King Charles’s return to public duties earlier this year after completing treatment for cancer.
This heartfelt card will be sent to approximately 2,700 recipients worldwide, including family, friends, global leaders, and charitable organizations, reflecting the royal family’s enduring commitment to spreading goodwill.
Photographer Millie Pilkington, who also captured iconic moments at Prince William and Princess Kate’s wedding, expressed her gratitude, saying, “I feel truly honored to have been asked to take this portrait of Their Majesties the King and Queen in Buckingham Palace Gardens.”
