Queen Mary of Denmark brought timeless elegance to the State Banquet hosted by King Frederik in honor of the Egyptian President at Christiansborg Palace. Dressed in a re-purposed blue velvet gown, the Queen demonstrated her impeccable taste and commitment to sustainable fashion while radiating regal charm.

The centerpiece of her ensemble was the debut of the Rose Diamond Bandeau, an exquisite tiara crafted from crown jewel diamonds that have graced the Danish Royal Vault since the 18th century. Collaborating with Danish jewel experts, Queen Mary personally oversaw the transformation of this historical treasure, originally set in a belt, into a dazzling tiara—a perfect blend of heritage and modernity.

To complete her look, the Queen paired the tiara with her beloved diamond earrings, the Danish Ivy Brooch, and elegant Gianvito Rossi pumps. Adding a significant touch of diplomacy to her attire, Queen Mary proudly wore a new sash and star of the Egyptian Order of the Virtues, bestowed upon her by the President earlier in the evening.
